Double Pointed Knitting Needles

The double pointed needle (also called “dpn”) is tapered to point at both ends compared with the single pointed needle. Besides the circular needle, the double pointed needle is as well used in knitting the tubular knitted articles like socks, mittens and hats the sort of small circular knitting. Usually it needs at least four or five pieces to finish an item. The double pointed needle is made of the similar material to the single pointed needle. When purchasing needles, it is important to consider the length and diameter of the needle. To a certain extent, the diameter of a needle affects the size of a stitch that ultimately affects the elasticity of your projects.
